Strictly speaking, the name $\ll$ single conformation model $\gg$ is incorrect since the model implies two conformations, mirror images of one another In fact, the word $\ll$ single $\gg$ means that the two conformations are defined by the knowledge of one of them The same situation occurs in the crystallographic studies of solid phases [13-16] Only the structure of one conformation is given, although the unit cell always contain an even number of molecules whose conformations are two by two mirror images of one another.
