Abstract
Linear viscoelastic effects are examined in semidilute polymer solutions in macroscopic two-phase coexistence. If the temperature
T or the pressure
p is oscillated in time, the interface motion exhibits gel-like behavior at high frequencies and fluid-like behavior at low
frequencies. We also study transient relaxation after a step-wise change of
T or
p. We propose such experiments to check the validity of fundamental hypotheses on viscoelasticity in polymer solutions.
